Zoo Garden

Chile2 Located in the heart of Cerro San Cristóbal, this big park covers a sloping area of 4.5 hectares and houses more than 160 species, from mammals to birds and reptiles, all in separate enclosures. Native species like condors, pumas, pudus, black-necked swans are all worth mentioning, but the most popular ones without doubt are the monkeys, especially with children. You will also find lions, elefants, giraffes, hippopotamus, bears and tigers. An excellent place to share with your family and make the little ones in the troup happy!

Los Domínicos

Los_dominicos_3 This is a minitown, kind of neighborhood, where every house is a souvenir shop. There are lots of stuff to buy, handcraft, etc. On Sundays there are sometimes people dancing chilean folklore. You need at least half a day to see it all. I highly recomend this to visit to everyone you will love it

Puerto Montt

PuertomonttPuerto Montt is a port city in southern Chile, and it was originally covered by a thick forest, and in 1848 a government-sponsored immigration from Germany populated the region. Definitely a great place to eat salmon, since the salmon aquaculture is one of its main economic activities, along with fishing and forestry. You will find great restaurants in this city, and if you love seafood, you'll feel just like in heaven!

Easter Island

EasterEaster Island, Rapa Nui, Isla de Pascua, is located on the Pacific Ocean, halfway to Tahiti, in Chilean territory, and it is famous for its giant stone busts that were built centuries ago. This busts are called Moai, and are archaeological features, so please be careful when you are around, the look tough but actually are pretty fragile. The Moai are located along the coastline, and you can also visit the inland quarry, a 300 foot volcano remnant which provided the stones for the Moai carving.

Tierra del Fuego

Tierra_del_fuegoTierra del Fuego is an archipelago off the south of South America and is separated from the mainland by the Magellan Strait. It is divided between Argentina and Chile since 1881, being the eastern part Argentinian territory and the western part (Magallanes province) Chilean territory.
The main towns are Rio Grande and Ushuaia on the Argentinian side, and Porvenir, Puerto Williams and Cape Horn on the Chilean side.  Tierra del Fuego means "Land of Fire" and got its name from Ferdinand Magellan, who was passing by the archipelago back in 1520 and spotted fires burning along the coastline. The fires were made by the aboriginal inhabitants of the islands.
