Historic Centre of Santa Cruz de Mompox in Cartagena
It was founded in 1540 on the banks of the River Magdalena. From the 16th to the 19th century the city developed parallel to the river, with the main street acting as a dyke. The historic centre has preserved the harmony and unity of the urban landscape. Most of the buildings are still used for their original purposes, providing an exceptional picture of what a Spanish colonial city was like, that means if you are a history fan you will definetly love this town!
Paramaribo is an ex- Dutch colonial town from the 17th and 18th centuries located on the northern coast of tropical South America. The original and highly characteristic street plan of the historic centre remains unthouch. Its buildings represents the gradual fusion of Dutch architectural influence with traditional local techniques and materials.A really lovely place to visit while you are on vacations.
This modern art gallery in the Alonso de Córdova district has two floors. It mounts collective and individual exhibitions in a variety of genres such as painting, sculpture and engraving. The gallery is run by its owner, Isabel Aninat, who is always trying out new talent. Without a doubt, this is the most successful gallery in this area.
